The stockbroker receives notice from the IRS that he is being audited.

He shows up at the appointed time and place with all his financial records for the last three tax years. He sits patiently for what seems like hours as the tax man pores over everything.

Finally the IRS agent looks up and comments, "You must be a tremendous fan of Sir Arthur Doyle!"

"Why would you say that?" wonders the broker.

"Because you've made more brilliant deductions on your last three returns than Sherlock Holmes made in his entire career!"
