Paul Reed Smith / Solid Body Electrics /
Paul Reed Smith Custom Series
Paul Reed Smith Custom
- The PRS Custom series of solid bodies are based on the original design that Paul Reed Smith's factory began producing in 1985. They are made of the best materials, with exquisite care and craftsmanship, and are played by the world's best musicians.
Shown: Paul Reed Smith 25th Anniversary Custom 24 - To celebrate it's 25th Anniversary, PRS is offering the Custom 24 with shadow bird inlays, anniversary headstock eagle, bound rosewood fretboard, 57/08 pickups and a special anniversary case in white Tolex vinyl.
The 1957/2008 pickups allow players to achieve both vintage and modern sounds. PRS obtained exclusive rights to the original pickup wire used in one of the most revered pickup designs of the '50s. PRS obtained the rights to the wire in 2008, and 1957 was the year the humbucker was first commercially available, giving rise to the 1957/2008 name.
