BR-8 Recording Times Guide

The information on this page represents the MAXIMUM recording time for a given capacity of Zip disk. The total time will be divided by the number of tracks (and songs) used on the disk.

Times are shown in H:MM:SS (hours:minutes:seconds) format, as shown on the BR-8 display under INFORMATION.

100 MB Zip Disk

1. STANDARD (MT2)   0:49:49
2. LIVE (LV1)              0:59:46
3. LONG (LV2)            1:14:44

For those users who have successfully upgraded their BR-8 recorders to the larger capacity Zip 250 drive (instructions can be found here), here are times for these cartridges. Remember that the Zip 250 drive can read and record 100 MB cartridges, too.
