The Vibratrem VT-1 pedal is a new model for Marshall, issued in a sleek, metal housing that looks as good as it sounds. Marshall designed this pedal to offer "psychedelic vintage vibrato and tremolo" to the guitarist who wants to broaden her/his tonal palette. Using the VT-1 is simple: select the mode, then dial in the adjustable depth, rate, and shape controls. Use it in mono for instant gratification, or connect the stereo output to a pair of amps (or left and right channels into a recording console) to get a fuller, more enveloping sound with a nice stereo spread.
![]() The February, 2000 issue of Guitar Player states that this unit is made in India to Marshall specifications. The VT-1 uses a passive bypass, which may be preferred by many purists to eliminate any trace of the effect when the unit is clicked out of the circuit. The controls are:
