In 1982, Marshall introduced their first-ever Anniversary Series models to celebrate 20 years of amplifier manufacturing.
The limited edition amps were based on JCM 800 models, and were decked out in white vinyl. A 20th Anniversary medallion key ring was also produced to further commemorate this series.

Here's what longtime Marshall Arts supporter Tim Comella has to say about these amps:
I did not see any of these amps out on your site.... maybe you
would like to post a snap of the 1982 20th Anniversary Series
JCM-800's.
On the left is a 100 watt channel switching half stack (note the top vent). The other is a 50 watt master volume half stack. The sound generated together is warm, dark, and very fat -- even at low volumes.

Contrary to what is stated in Doyle's excellent book, The History of Marshall, there are a number of things that make these amps unusual, including:
- Only production Marshall available in White tolex, in 1982
- Extremely limited production - about 250 worldwide including combos
- 'Anniversary Series' Commemorative Plaque at lower left of speaker cab
- Special "AS" [Anniversary Series] prefixed serial number on head
(ie: "AS0090" was my first.....this one is "AS0169")
- 65 watt Celestion speakers

Tim also supplied this photo of the Celestion 80 watt speakers, as used in the later-production 1982 Anniversary series amps. These are from the 100 watt channel-switching amp AS00229, and show date codes "KQ4" which is translates to November 4th, 1982.

Thanks, Tim, for the information and photos of those beautiful amps!
