A WWW Card Trick You Can Do!
(It's easy. All you need to know is how to force a card.)
SETUP:
- Click on the link below to get to the prediction page.
- Bookmark that page. (NOT this one!)
PERFORMANCE:
- Have your web browser point to http://www.olywa.net/blame/mag9005.htm
- Show the deck of cards and have a spectator select one "via your favorite method."
- Patter along such that some people have accused you of using a crooked deck in the past. State that you have since turned over a new leaf and are strictly on the up and up.
- Spectator clicks on blank "prediction" card. Tell spectator to concentrate and their card will come into focus.
- The card is all distorted. I guess you are crooked after all!
- Ask spectator to "reload the image" by clicking on the crooked QH.
- A much-improved image now comes up. Take your bow.
NOTES: Be sure to set up the blank prediction page in your bookmark file (or Favorites file if you use Internet Explorer). That way, if the spectator clicks on the Back button on your browser, they won't have a clue as to how the trick was performed.
There are no hidden links back to MAG-NET from the WWW Card Trick page, so your secret is safe.
I hope that you've enjoyed this little romp into cybermagicspace!
