   Chris Simmons
         Bass guitar, lead vocals

Chris Simmons Chris (aka Worst Excuse) is proof that you can rock, even if you're from Jamestown, North Dakota.

Chris has performed extensively throughout the greater Seattle area in such bands as The Blame and FishLips, where he got the opportunity to play along with other members of what would become THE EXCUSES.

Chris has an incredible high vocal range, and is the only artist we know of who can nail the Robert Plant vocals in the Led Zeppelin classic "Whole Lotta Love." Chris also does lead vocal duties on a variety of other songs including "White Wedding" (Billy Idol); "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" (Georgia Satellites); "Born to be Wild" (Steppenwolf); and the seminal rock classic "Louie Louie" (Kingsmen).

Chris' tight, focused bass guitar work serves as the foundation for the band's heavy sound. Surprisingly for a former North Dakotan, he also has a sense of humor! Chris enjoys his bassist duties with THE EXCUSES and it shows at every performance.
