   About The Excuses

Are we there, yet?The EXCUSES are five guys who enjoy making rock 'n roll music. They're veterans of other bands who play the classic rock songs audiences want and perform them the way they were meant to be played.

The EXCUSES band members individually are veterans of the tavern rock scene. Some of them played six-nights-a-week honing their craft in bars and rock clubs. However, The EXCUSES as a band are trying something different: they are intentionally focusing their marketing away from the tavern circuit. Instead, they're targeting fairs, music festivals, and corporate events. And they're using the Internet to showcase their zany humor, infectious rhythms, and hook-laden rock music.

The EXCUSES play music from The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, The Doobie Brothers, Billy Idol, Billy Joel, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty, R.E.M., The Romantics, Stevie Ray Vaughan, U2, ZZ Top, and many others. You'll like what you hear. And you'll want to hear them again. And again.

There has been a considerable buzz about the band, ever since their first performance. Once you hear them, you'll know what it's about, too.

The EXCUSES want to hear from you! They always enjoy your comments, whether it be before, during, or after a show.

The EXCUSES are: Andy Etue (drums and vocals), Scott Kissel (lead guitar), Brett McCarron (lead guitar and keyboards), Chris Simmons (bass guitar and lead vocals), Michael Swanson (guitars and lead vocals), and Mike Keeling (sound engineer).

Feel free to visit the Bios page to learn more about each individual member.

Thanks for visiting. The boys appreciate it!
