2010 celebrates 25 years of Paul Reed Smith!

When PRS Guitars debuted the first Custom 24 electric guitar model more than a quarter century ago, it was hard to imagine that an ambitious young luthier from Bowie, Maryland could give rise to a philosophy and a brand that would later become for many the bar by which electric guitar quality standards are measured.

Recently identified by Guitar World magazine as one of the 30 greatest guitar moments of the last 30 years, the development of the Custom 24 not only resulted in what Guitar World referred to as a "full blown American guitar renaissance" but it set the framework for what still remains PRS Guitars today, a company driven to make the best musical instruments possible.
